"While it's unhelpful for most of the football season, ESPN3 will be viewable via an Xbox sometime in November."
Any plans to have it on the Roku?

However the Roku is not, at this time, DLNA compliant so PlayOn does not work with it.
But, I believe that if a developer was to want to then they could write a ch for ESPN3 on the Roku. Of course the only people that would get ESPN3 would be the ones whose ISP has an agreement with ESPN/ABC to allow access.
I, for one, would find it a useful addition.

My kids would be thrilled with ESPN3 on the Roku. That is my family's #1 issue with streaming content - no sports.

I still think hockey should be the gateway sport for streaming. Hockey needs more distribution in the US. It would be a win-win situation for Roku, hockey and fans. Once hockey gets established maybe the NFL and NBA would realize they are missing a possible revenue stream. I just hope they avoid the problems of MLB streaming.

Would've been awesome during the World Cup.
Since I'm too lazy to hook my laptop to the TV, I watched a lot of WC games on ESPN3 on a 15" screen. Roku handling the duties would've been nice. I managed to get a couple of USTREAM feeds of the games working via Roku but they were such poor quality it was unbearable.
