No, I don't think the WD 1Tb MyBookWorld (Blue Circle) includes any media server software.

All of the references I've seen about the World Edition mention a media server (townky and iTunes...probably firefly) but maybe you have a very old model. Your best bet is really to ask on the WD forums - I'm sure folks there know.

if you've got the latest firmware installed, 01.01.16, this contains an update to twonky which is incompatible with the sounbridge

I have the original MyWorldBook - I am using Firmware 02.00.19. It is the 1TB with Blue Circle lights on front.

I don't think I can use this as a media server.
