Just so everyone is aware of it though, this isn't a "free trial" as one might expect. It is, essentially, half price for the first month. The referred person has to sign up for the service, and is billed for 1/2 of the monthly fee immediately upon registration.
To me, that is misleading, and not the best way for a new service to present themself.
I don't care for me, as I signed up without the need for a "free" period. However, when I suggested that a friend try it, he told me that the "free" was really a half price on the first month offer. When I inspected the fine print, that is what it says there.
I hope that Hulu will re-phrase their advertising on this, or do as most companies offering a "trial period" do and not charge the customer until they are actually through their "trial" period. That's the way it was with Netflix.
