Is there anyway to get local news content streamed? The one thing holding us off from cutting the cable cord is not being able to see the local news. I know national news is there in abundance, but it really won't tell me what's happening around us.

If you live in an area with good OTA reception, you can get your local channels in HD for free. And often, the picture quality will be better than what the cable companies can provide.

How does setup on Roku go for getting OTA channels?

it involves plugging an antenna into your tv (or digital converter box, then tv) and has nothing to do with Roku

I think 40 some odd years of cable TV has destroyed our collective memory about antennas.

Depending on where you live, you can get some really great local news clips on the Pod TV channel. I believe it's private, but it's also top notch for catching up on headlines for your favorite locales, near and far. We just got a snow storm today, so it was great watching the West Palm Beach weather forecast c/o PodTv.

yup just get a OTA at your local Radio Shack or from Amazon I get all the typical 15 channels now
roku also has a weather which has radar and 5 day
as for videos there accuweather and weatherchannel on internet.

Man, terrain can be such a hassle. I only get ABC and PBS (sometimes).
