Kids shows

Postby mommom » Sat Apr 16, 2011 5:09 pm

We need more kids content.Maybe we could post links to kids websites and someone a lot smarter than me can see if any of them are useful for making a channel?

I'll start--------these are all bookmarked in my KYLO browser on our pc's,but I want to get more ROKU's for the grandkids.

I agree 100%. I really love toonjet! I just got my Roku XS last night and absolutely love it, but noticed the absence of Kid programming and sports. There is an android app called Kid TV and it pulls all kinds of toons off of Youtube. This would be an awesome addition.

I think some of these are in that channel that no one ever likes to discuss which might let you PLAY these ON the roku.

I'm still hoping for the Just for Kids Netflix interface to come to the Roku, hopefully that happens soon

Yay, we get a Disney channel:

We've only looked at it for 5 mins, it's not very impressive (yet), but it's something

edit, sorry scyber, I didn't notice your post earlier. The channel is live and can be added to your Roku, there's no cost.

There is a Christian Kids channel that we can stream live now. It is not mentioned on the Roku site, but if you install the TBN Channel (which automatically puts some people's flags up), and look at the live TV section there is a channel called "Smile of a Child". Most of the cartoons are low budget, but it does have some good shows like Flying House, Davey and Goliath, and Really Wooly kids. Here is a link to their programs: http://www.smileofachildtv.org/watch/schedule_weekview.php Oh and did I mention it is free?
