No 5.1 audio with Roku 2 XD

I recently got a Roku 2 XD, overall quite enjoying it, but I have realized that I can't get anything to put 5.1 audio out to my receiver. Here is my home setup:

Roku 2 XD (latest firmware) connected to
Onkyo 609NR (latest firmware, updated last night to just to be sure) receiver over HDMI (specs say it supports DD+)
Network = Fios 20Mbs down, 5Mbs up

The Roku 2 XD is set to 5.1 audio in it's audio settings.

When I watch network TV from a DishDVR connected to the Onkyo, the DD light comes on automatically on the receiver and I very clearly get Dolby surround.

When I bring up Netflix on PS3 (as with everything connected only via HDMI to receiver), play the same Netflix content that is listed as 5.1, I get DD through the receiver.

Any thoughts on debugging further?

Are you selecting the 5.1 audio feed when you pick the selection in Netflix? It's kinda a 2-step process- the Roku has to be set to 5.1, and the Netflix audio feed chosen has to be the 5.1 DD+ one.

Apparently I missed the second step. Any way to get it to always prefer the 5.1 audio in the netflix app?

Nope. NetFlix figures that selecting it each time is the best method.

Currently, as Gilgamesh pointed out, you have to select it each time. The ability to globally select it for Netflix has been an oft-repeated request in my weekly reports, however.
