And just like that XBMC Eden officially steps out of beta and is now available for download.

There's also good news for Ubuntu users, as XBMCUbuntu Final has been officially announced as the successor to XBMC Live.

The Ubuntu part is where it got me. Sweet. You can go directly to their site for the download.

I haven't personally haven't tried it yet, but a buddy of mine from work said that Dharma worked more flawlessly than the new Eden version. That makes me wonder if they launched this update prematurely. I believe it's still in the continuing development process and should be polished in a few weeks from now, give or take. Great thing I like about it though is that there are a lot of people willing to help from their site so it's not gonna drive you pulling your hair out because you can't find a way around a road block. I'm still trying to look into the features and may just try it out.

@mastermesh: I don't know a channel on roku that incorporates this version of XBMC or any past version of it to work with the roku. I'll try to look around and see if I find anything. Wouldn't keep my hopes too high for that one though. We could request the developers to try and make one since those guys really like a good challenge every once in a while.

in theory, if it's dlna, noknok's link controller should be able to do it. The problem is the developer on noknok seems to have abandoned his channel, or at least gone silent for a very long time now.

I will take on the challenge, it sounds fun. I have searched and search, can't find anyone doing it. Is anyone else working on a Roku client for XDMB?
