Vevo TV -- live stream

Postby KennyJ » Fri Mar 15, 2013 1:55 am

Did anyone notice that Vevo is now live streaming what they call Vevo TV on their Roku channel. Very much like MTV of the 80s and early 90s.

I read about that somewhere but haven't actually tried it. Is it good as it was during the days?

I haven't had much time to play with it, but I think they plan to live stream some concerts, which would be awesome!

Sounds great. Looks like they want me to sign up for a Vevo account before I can access it. Hmmm..

You should be able to skip the sign in part... at least you could in the previous version of the channel.

Thought I would give this a try, but accessing the Live TV section requires creating a Vevo account. Went to vevo.com/roku to put in the code as instructed, but the page demands that I log in with Facebook first. Anyone know of a way to get around this?

I'd go ahead and create a dummy facebook account but that's just me being paranoid. I don't really like it when I'm forced to create a new account.

We are working on supporting multiple login methods, not just FB - so that is coming soon.

Meanwhile please try out vevo TV and let us know what you think!
