For an order number in the 30K range, I got an email that said my unit will ship "early next week".

Based on what we see here, it may look like about 3000 units were released in the first build.

The Roku plan may have been to see how they fielded and Netflix may have been watching bandwidth issues.

Let's also assume the next build is about 30K. This is a pretty large incremental jump for a new product. (I do QA for a consumer electronics company and we would not see such a large ramp on a new to the market product like this - this jump is an impressive stretch).

Don't forget about the China earthquake. All of us in this industry have been affected by some trickledown of this situation. After a three day blackout from suppliers, some are seeing at least a month until they get back up on line. Never mind the impact to life in the area.

At least we can come to this site and get information directly from the source - what a find!

Thanks to the Roku staff for taking their personal time to watch these forums and often respond in (relatively) real time.

Heck..My order number is 34867, ordered on the 27th..I'm not too excited or worried about the wait..I figure it will get here when it gets here..Sounds like it will be worth the wait..And maybe some of the early issues will be worked out before we get ours!
I have been really impressed with the responses from the Roku guys, until now I had never heard of them...

Wow! My order number is 30246...... And God knows I have had no word on any shipping notification?

Yes I used Pay Pal, ok that was a mistake. They are holding my money and of course no product yet!

Reminds me of how we are treated at a doctors office these days..

Get in line and shut-up......

I already asked them about shipping.

The answer was NO to any help on shipping due to the delay.

I learned a long time ago that it is way more important that a package actually be shipped, then how it is shipped. Overnight delivery service would not help this problem.

Looks like the lowest number so far is 2724, and not yet shipped? Sad

My Pre-Auth has now been released, still not charged or re-pre-auth'd.

Hoping they can ship today!

FYI – My order number is 1756 placed 5/20/08 and shipped 5/21/08 and is due for arrival today in NYC. FedEx Ground told me the delay was due to their use of horse teams to pull their trucks across the country due to the high cost of fuel. I would advise if you are an East Coast destination you might want to spring for the faster delivery option. FedEx Ground really doesn’t have their act together yet.

They can’t be using consecutive numbers. If they are, by the time the people with numbers in the 30,000s get them, they will to be able watch all 100000 Netflix movies in HD
