pinnnacle and daap

Pinnacle Sound Bridge does not support itunes. I know it supports firefly and then connects to itunes, but that is different from saying it supports itunes. Would it work if one would instal daap and if so how one would go about it

Apple did not license the DAAP protocol to Pinnacle so Pinnacle branded SoundBridges are stuck using Firefly via RSP.
That is the reason why RSP was created & why mt-daapd was renamed Firefly

Just remember however, that although mtdaapd was renamed firefly.
The stable release version 0.2.4 still relies solely on the daap protocol.
To use firefly with Pinnacle versions you must use a nightly release.
