Hi,
I just received my Roku video player, and followed all the directions to set it up. To activate my code, it asked me to go to www.roku.com/link, and enter the code shown on the screen; but when I tried to go to the website it kept asking me to enter my username and password, which I do not have.
I called Roku (888-600-7658), and got a rep from Netflix instead. The person told me that this way to activate the code was something new from Roku.
Has anybody had a similar same experience trying to activate the code? I thought you were supposed to go to www.netflix.com/activate to do so.
What should I do to activate the code in this case?

Yes.. you have to create an account first.

i cant get the code to activate my netflix to work ? Roku code?

Oddly enough I had to reactivate Netflix through my Roku the other day...I think it was last Tuesday or Wednesday? It wasn't hard to do since I keep a laptop in the family room now, but odd that it happened nevertheless. I've had a Roku for several years and only had to activate initially and when there was that major upgrade that caused a lot of devices to need it again a while back.

Unless things have drastically changed when the code is on the screen the address is also there.

As Gil stated above, there's always a web address on the same screen with the activation code, for both channels and the box, telling you where to go on your computer to enter the code.
