"Unsupported Mode"

Just hooked up my Roku. Opened Netflix. Chose movie in HD. Pushed play. Screen says "unsupported mode". Now what

Are you connected via HDMI? If so, its probably an HDMI communication issue. Is the "unsupported mode" message a TV message or a Roku message? What model tv do you have? What are your roku display settings?

Using component cables will get around these HDMI issues.

Does your HDMI connection on your TV support 720p @ 60Hz?

I saw that message exactly once--at the time the power supply on my Roku was dying, and a few minutes later the Roku box had zero power.
