Does this have something to do with Roku? Is there a new channel, or something coming. I notice you started the original thread six months ago, "mommom" contributed an article that is now a year old and your new post references a cute new video with no particular information and another that is also a year old.

The web site says nothing about Roku. What am I missing and why are you posting this? :)

Except it seems to be an informational thread started by __5 so he was just adding more info.

The forum rules say it is generally better to start a new thread but this seems like it should be one of the exceptions to the rule.

If someone is looking for this subject in general or in particular don't you think that keeping the info in one thread is a good idea?

That's pretty much the only reason I didn't close it :). Would be the same with a developer channel's thread (NowhereTV, if 6+ months went by before the next post, et al). These are definitely exceptions to the rule, but I cringe thinking about newcomers flaming me with "Why was my thread closed but not this one?" Think I need to outline certain exceptions in the Forum Guidelines (not that anyone reads them until they get hit with a warning! LOL).

PS - Shameless off-topic bump to __5's thread :P

I saw the announcement today that M-Go will be "baked" into the home screen of Roku. coming October. And this is the topic in the forum i could find on it. Seems initial post was premature since only in January 2013 M-Go started working for real.

So, what do people think of this? My research shows there are only ~20k installs of MGo at Google Play (does not work on phones) and it gets about 85 installs per day. If my calculations are correct, on its own it would take it ~160 years to reach the number of deployments that Roku has.

Seems HD rentals for new movies typically are $5/24hrs there. Nothing to write home about, if we don't count that the first month only they are discounted to $2.

Mgo is another ultraviolet supporter, so I like that. More options to watch my UV collection (now 100+)

Argh! With all of this talk about M-Go I thought that it was already available and created an account. I've wasted part or all of my 99 cent movie offer :( (all if it doesn't launch before 10/26). Maybe I can use it on some other platform I own.

Does anyone know if M-GO does 1080P encodes and 5.1 audio? I can't find this information anywhere so I'm assuming they're limited to 720P, it will be interesting to see how the picture and sound quality compares to Vudu.

HD titles 720p encodes – 5.1 audio (AAC other devices transcode to 5.1 PCM), not sure of roku output?

I would also like to find out:

- how M-GO's multiple user profiles will work with Roku (if you use the website to assign individual Roku's to different profiles, or if you can actually select which profile to use from each Roku)

- if M-GO has any device registration limit

- what M-GO's simultaneous streaming limit is

And on average how does M-GO's selection and rental/purchase pricing compare to others such as:

- UV: VUDU, Target Ticket, Nook Video, CinemaNow (not on Roku)

- non-UV: Amazon (no UV yet), Redbox Instant (no UV yet), Blockbuster/DishWorld (rental only so no UV)

- Admin creates (& edit) up to 5 profiles (including his/her), my guess … via web browser (not roku). That’s 5-email address (w/ 5passwords & 5PINs) to log-in on roku (or others).
- 5 devices per account - unlink/link once every 90 days (3 max per a year) – a device to one account (not multiple acc).
- I think, all 5 devices/profiles should be able to stream simultaneously.
