A new secret screen

Postby RickRansom » Sun Jan 06, 2013 1:22 pm

Looks like there's another secret screen we can open on our Roku.

And it shows the temp on my unit. Neat. Looks like something people can try out to see if they're box is really hot to the touch or just warm. Back to streaming undisputed 3 while the kids are out.

Edit:
Tried it on my XD|S and no dice. Is this a Roku 2 only feature? :(

There's a system reboot option there, nice. I am running at 54 C, granted my laptop is 55 C on the CPU and 58 C on the motherboard, so not much difference, and my laptop has a fan. My Desktop is about 40 C, but it has more fans to keep it cool.

It should but not until the software on your box is updated. I recently did a factory reset on my box and this option did not come up until after I allowed the box to download the latest software.
