Re: Beta Scene Graph Components

I have a question regarding the rectangle node. It has a couple of fields regarding blending that I'm unclear on. There's sourceBlendingFactor and destinationBlendingFactor, which have a type of "option string". What does that mean? I'm a little unclear on what these are even used for. Doe...

Re: Beta Scene Graph Components

I am building an item with multiple labels on the same line. There will be dynamic content in the labels, so the width of the labels will be changing based on what the text is, so I have the width set to zero for both. However, when I need the final width of the first label in order to properly plac...

Custom challenge data in a PlayReady license acquisition req

I need to include custom challenge data in a PlayReady license acquisition request for smooth streaming and I am not sure how to go about doing such. Is there a way to do so?

Re: Trouble setting theme attributes from a URL.

I've also just now noticed something else that is weird... I have assigned the same web-based image to both HDBackgroundImageUrl and HDSmallIconUrl and their SD counterparts, and lo and behold it displays on HDSmallIconUrl! So, when the same web-based image is displayed in both HDBackgroundImageUrl...

Re: Trouble setting theme attributes from a URL.

Perhaps the images that don't work are incompatible in some way. Is it always the same files that work and don't work? Can you package one of the non-working images in your app package and see if you can display it from a pkg:// path? --Mark I have put the images in the pkg and calling them from th...

Re: Trouble setting theme attributes from a URL.

You could also try examining the GetToFile response code just to make sure the icon file is being read from the url you specified: responseCode = urlTransferObject.GetToFile(tmpfile) print responseCode It should be 200 for a successful response. I do have it in an if statement that checks if the re...

Re: Trouble setting theme attributes from a URL.

The topic was about theme attributes , now you are talking about HdBackgroundImageUrl and HdSmallIconUrl of roListScreen - which are not theme-related. Choose one issue and focus on it until resolved - then post separate question on another one. yeah, you're right. I was talking about setting image...

Re: Trouble setting theme attributes from a URL.

I'm setting the object ("o" in this case) with those values in a separate function and having it return the object and calling screen.SetContent(o) where screen is the roListScreen object.

Re: Trouble setting theme attributes from a URL.

I've attempted that as well and it is not working. I'm not sure what the deal is. It really just does not want to let me set a remote image on that item.

Re: Trouble setting theme attributes from a URL.

If you don't mind looking, here is part of the function where the problem exists. I am passing in an object that contains parsed XML (aboutOptions), the problem is with SmallIconUrl. If I set it to aboutOptions.background, it displays the image, however, anything else that I try to set it to does no...

Re: Trouble setting theme attributes from a URL.

Thanks a bunch for the replies, I will try putting a sleep on it. It's the oddest thing though, I am able to set certain images anywhere, but then attempting to set the same item with different images the images do not display. I print out the url of each image to ensure that it is being addressed c...

Trouble setting theme attributes from a URL.

I am trying to set the asset for an overhang slice like so:

app.setThemeAttribute("GridScreenOverhangSliceHD", overhangSlice)

where overhangSlice is a URL to a web hosted image. The image will not actually display with any consistency. Any idea why this would be? Thanks
