I would love for Roku to open the firmware and roku server up - the soundbridges I have still work great, and I think with some tweaks to their firmware would continue to be useful for a long while to come.

Thanks for the note - although I don't understand how the various AAC Plus formats differ from each other. For instance I can use ffmpeg to stream both Radio Paradise's and Indie's aac feeds, convert them to sox format, pipe the output to the sox play utility, and they both play correctly. Both stre...

MultiRoom playback / control

I have two Roku soundbridge devices. I would like to be able to listen to the same audio on both devices simultaneously. I know I could fairly easy send the same play commands to one unit that are currently playing on another unit, but there will be all kinds of network lag that will cause problems....

That is disappointing news to hear that the soundbridge product will be discontinued. IMHO, it represents the most cost effective network music device on the market today, but clearly, as is true with most things in life, video killed the radio star. you could be expericiening timer interrupt latency

I had this on my dell laptop - you can use s/w at:

http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml

to determine this.

Try bumping up the priority of the process that is generating the audio.
