I installed Tools4Roku recently an finally my M1001 does more then just showing the time. Great! It also appeared to me that Tools4Roku is somewhat limited: you hit the nail on the head by making this nice piece of software expandable! I just would show my appreciation for your work. Nice one! Thank...

different music collections

Hello, I'd like to put up different collections, eg. my "test" collection on which I can run my tag-scripts etc and my "production"collection. Depending on which collection I select, I can use the index that belongs to that collection. Or... my collection and my colleague/friend/...

If you wish to also have it show weather while the unit is playing, let me know, I can make that an option. I just thought it would be annoying to have the weather pop up while the Roku is in use. Well, I am looking for something like this some time already. The problem used to be that the RC locke...

new font please!

Is it possible to include a double-height double-width font? The visibility of the current double-height fonts is not sufficient when sitting at a distance of 4 metres. Ik think it is useful as well for our visually handicapped fellows, as well as for senior citizens. This would not be much of an ef...

Well... Yes. Where 'full blown' is the goal, but a limited API would be a very nice start. I say "Perl' since this is a good language for this stuff, but a C API of Python API is welcome as well. As long as you provide API's, especially when an OS independant language is used, the Operating sys...

New font

The double height fonts are great, but I would love to see double height/double width fonts.
I'm sitting 4,5 meters from the SB and have difficulties reading the double height fonts, even after tuning the brightness.

SO: Double h & w fonts, scrolling back and forth if neccesary.

Well, I'll probably show stupid now since I'm not as much a prorammer as you are, but it is much more than extenting mt-daapd? I mean: > mt-daapd --full-index or > mt-daapd --incr-index look relatively simple (the mechanisms are there, these are new interface) Are we talking the same thing here? Reg...

AFAIK this is the default protocol of mt-daatd.
The Roku protocol was added recently, therefore the project was forked (or renamed) as 'FireFly'.
itunes should be possible.

I could be wrong however.. anyone...?

I know laptops scale down their clockcycles when inactive... I think this also goes for servers (recent kernels) but am not sure. Laptops mostly have some sort of power saving modus enabled, eg. shut down diskspinning when inactive etc. Also: A linux server runs 'headless'. close the laptop display ...

I'm running FireFly on an Ubuntu Linux server. Flawless - works just great.
If you decide to run a linux box 24/7, you'd better be using an old laptop for that.

I agree partly: For me personally it would be great to have the SB support custom messages while playing as well as in stand-by mode, just bij providing an API. That way I can use a script or some onther piece of software to use the SB. So: You don't have to write apps for rss feed etc etc, just pro...

I recently had the same problem: for me the problem was an old version.
I downloaded and installed the nightly, after that it worked.
So:What version do you use?

I would like to do offline indexing. I want the mt-daapd to do full and incremental indexing just like it is possible now from the webinterface, but instead of the webinterface I want to do it from the commandline (via crontab) Is that possible, and if not: is it wordt considering the implementation?

Unfortunately the thread stops here. rss2roku is not available anymore, and it looks like there is no progression whatsoever.
I'm interested in this perl script.
Can anyone provide me one?
