UPnP: get Now Playing Queue

Is it possible to retrieve the current song queue from the Soundbridge via UPnP?

I ask because Cidero does not seem to be able to retrieve the queue even though it can successfully update it.

lossless radio stations

I can play lossless files using the firefly media server. However, I'd like to know if it is possible to have the Soundbridge play lossless radio stations? I created an m3u file with the following entry: http://192.168.0.5/DISK%201/bell.wav Which points at my local server. I added the m3u file as a ...

Do you mean my URL string? It was:

http://192.168.0.2:8080/audio.mp3

My server is Firefly on a separate machine.

Thanks for your persistence. I'm out of ideas though. Maybe it's a problem with my router.

Yes, I tried it both from a short-cut and from the Open->Stream dialog. Same result: I can stream to a remote PC running WinAmp, but I can see nothing from the Soundbridge.

Thanks.

No joy, I'm afraid.

Thanks both of you for all your help to a total stranger.

I just can't believe it:

- my VLC stream works for another PC on the network
- my Roku can play internet stations
- it works for both of you

But I can't play my VLC stream through my Roku. Most frustrating.

Thanks for replies. No joy though. I set VLC up to use: http://192.168.0.2:8000/audio.mp3 And tested it from Firefox and WinAmp Now I get the error: Unable to play "Laptop" Play Next / Stop Changing the extension changes the error message only. Again, using a nonsense IP address produces t...

Hello - did anybody else here have problems doing this? I can broadcast a stream from VLC and have it play from another laptop. Through the Soundbridge though, I get absolutely nothing... just 'Re-trying station...' 1, 2, 3, 4, ... Of course, the Soundbridge provides no diagnostics whatsoever. If I ...

Sound quality on 3.0 firmware

I upgraded the firmware on my M1000 to the latest 3.0 firmware, I guess to version 3.0.44. I may just have been in a funny mood, but I thought it sounded different. I'm using lossless music files with an external DAC. Can I confirm that using the 3.0.44 firmware on the M1000 model, the digital strea...

I bought a Beresford TC-7510 DAC for around 100 GBP because I was unhappy with the sound quality from my M1000. I strongly recommend it. The improvement was incredible.

I would strongly recommend forgetting the power supply and buying a DAC. I bought a Beresford TC-7510 DAC this year, and I'm delighted.

Thanks everyone for the information here. I had a dead Soundbridge with flickering network lights. I bought a new unit on eBay, switched the supplies and my broken Soundbridge worked.
