Yes, it's sad to see but indeed the forum and the Soundbridge seems to be dead. And it's very weird that anyone from the staff don't even post a single comment about anything. It would be nice if they would just post a sentence that everybody should be patient, or anything. Whatever small post, but ...

When it comes to the original (and still main) purpose of Roku's devices, i.e. playing music streamed from a computer or NAS box, I don't see any need for implementing OGG/FLAC. The Soundbridges offer support for a wide variety of (standardized) formats: MP3, AAC, WMA, WAV, ALAC and AIFF, with diff...

Re: in regard of criterion "path" in smart playlis

It took me some time to find that out: if you want to get songs per smart playlist from folderone\foldertwo you have to put it that way: path includes "folderone\\foldertwo" Otherwise u don't get any songs in firefly! (I guess that firefly would read folderoneoldertwo if there is only one...

Can Roku PLEASE give us an indication of whether they're either considering or actively developing native FLAC support. I think there's enough support around this forum for this feature, which is consistently shown to be one of the highest priority requests. If it can't be done because of hardware ...

Fuppes (which is an open source free UPNP server) is now also able to transcode FLAC to WAV. Now I'm using it with my M1001, instead of Firefly. I use it for one reason, because Firefly doesn't support folder browsing. (When you use Fuppes with Roku, you must set the audio mime type to "audio/w...

Hi Developers! One user GUI feature request: It would be very good to have native "folder browsing" or "browse by directory/files" feature in Soundbridge so that you could browse files at the Soundbridge interface as they are on reside on the hard disk. This would be important in...

As mentioned by the others in this thread, the M1001 is not suitable for you due to a design flaw that forces the unit to upsample all content to 48 kHz; this upsampling introduces audible noise. Is it true that M1001 upsamples to 48 kHz indeed? Heck, before I purchased my M1001 (Pinnacle branded) ...

I have exactly the same problem. The following path arrangement should work I guess. The music files are in: I:\Lejott\Bob Marley - Chances Are (1981)\1-Reggae On Broadway.mp3 I:\Lejott\Bob Marley - Chances Are (1981)\2-Gonna Get You.mp3 I:\Lejott\Bob Marley - Chances Are (1981)\3-Chances Are.mp3 Th...

If you must browse by folder, there are numerous UPnP AV servers that will allow it via generic container... but I don't see much of an advantage. (Well, for servers like Firefly that can't group/browse via Album Artist... I guess I can see some advantage there. Hopefully Firefly will get that soon...
