If you are running Windows then install Slimserver 6.2.1 and AlienBBC 1.05.

bpa: Can I ask why you say 6.2.1 and 1.05 specifically when there are newer versions of both available? If 6.2.1 of Slimserver is essential, do you know where it can be downloaded?

Tia!

Thanks for the replies guys. Yes, of course, this isn't something iTunes does as standard. I was more wondering if anyone had worked out a software hack to treat a connected iPod as a standard library, and thus share it as such.

Sharing iPod Music

Has anyone figured out a way to share the "library" contained on an iPod via iTunes in the same way that iTunes shares its own library?

In other words, I am interested in browsing and playing tracks stored on my iPod via a Soundbridge.

I would like to see a small delay so the tracks are played not back to back.
Maybe configurable, like 0, 1 or 2 seconds.

Strange/interesting request! What's the idea behind that?

I'd like to second the requests so far for (in priority order): - Normalize volume across tracks - Provide the option to go back to the previous level in the menu. E.g. If I'm listening to album A by artist X I don't want to start from the root of the menu to go to album B by artist X or indeed to g...

I agree on the Paradise Radio endorsement. I've been organising my stations today and would add these to the list, which I don't think have been mentioned yet: One word radio: http://bruce.unique.com:8000/ Website: http://www.oneword.co.uk/ UK based audiobook/comedy/literature based station, similar...

Just to follow up on this - the latest update to the Airport software seems to resolve this issue. If you are experiencing this problem, I recommend you get all updates available via Software Update. Airport Update Problems

Is anyone having problems with the latest (v3.4, I think) update to Apple's Airport software (via software update)? I had no problems whatsoever, but since the latest update, sharing music on my Powerbook to the Soundbridge with iTunes is very rocky. Tracks will often attempt to buffer, but stick at...

Request: Cross-fade tracks

Are there any plans to provide support for a cross fade tracks option (a la iTunes, etc) to blend back to back tracks together?

I think this would be a very worthwhile feature as it definitely sounds slick and is something I miss versus listening to music through iTunes itself.

Hi Gaby - what exactly is the wireless connection doing? Are you able to play tracks fully? I'm not sure if you saw my post: http://www.rokulabs.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1600 but I have been having wireless issues also which have meant that I'm unable to play more than about 2 mins of each song, e...

Yes, it works perfectly wired. I'm also using fairly small files which shouldn't be a problem to play at all (typically 4-7mb, 192kbs MP3) Also, the wireless signal is absolutely fine with all other devices - there are no signal issues. As I think I said, I've also tried putting the SB right next to...
