Re: Soundbridge M500/M1000/M1001/M2000 power issues

In case this helps, I have had good luck replacing dead Soundbridge power supplies with 5V supplies that come with many Dlink routers (these are usually rated at 2A). The connectors are not the same, so you have to cut the cable and rejoin the old connector--just make sure you test with a multimeter...

Having pretty good results from a recently purchased Linksys 200 mbps powerline networking kit. It's the PLK300. I chose this one because one of the two devices in the kit has four ethernet ports, so at the remote end you can easily plug in a Roku, computer and a couple of other devices if you wish....

Clearly there are too many people with too little to do. This is hardly an earth-shattering event, so I won't waste much more time on it. Suffice it to say that when people start living lives according to "Wikipedia" something has gone seriously wrong. (That might be because much of what a...

Basically there are two main segments to the Internet radio portion of Roku products: 1) Presets: These are the 18 presets you can program into the Roku. They're labelled A1-6, B1-6, C1-6 and reside in the Roku memory. 2) Favorites, which are created on the Radio Roku page and are listed on Roku dev...

Thanks for a wonderful app. Well worth the price. Working well for me and am looking forward to future enhancements.

Like others here, I would love to see control of internet radio through the app.

It certainly isn't by posting suggestions in a blatently rude manner that you will make friends, Dupondt. In addition, you have forgotten to mention that this is no big deal and that you are not in any way entitled to act as a member of the forum police. I'd rather read a few duplicate posts by the ...

First off, many thanks for taking on this task. An Iphone/Ipod touch would be fantastic. I vote for Firefly as the first music server target for the app. I know many of us are already using it, since it works well with Roku. For those not already taking advantage of Firefly, it doesn't seem to be di...

I have had a few problems on my Soundbridges using the stock power supplies. Like you I have tried power supplies with acceptable specs from Dlink routers or modems. They seem to work far better. I solved some random reboots with a Dlink power supply , and replaced another Roku power supply that sto...

Try Itunes as the music server. Also try a wired connection to rule out wireless problems.

If you don't want to get too complicated, you can create a new Itunes playlist called podcasts (or whatever you want to call it), drag the podcasts you've downloaded into it, and then access the podcast playlist through the Roku as you would any other Itunes playlist. Or you can try RokuMike's sugge...

If this isn't possible you can install itunes and employ their easy-to-use podcast downloads (lots of NPR stuff there) and play the downloaded podcast with your Soundbridge. You can set up itunes to download each day's program automatically.

Interesting. Perhaps I haven't properly "explored" this feature. I'm far away from my Roku Radio at the moment, in another country. When I get back I'll check it out.
