Remote Backing

Hello. I was wondering if anyone has a remote backing (the little black clip that holds the batteries in) for a soundbridge remote? I've lost mine :( I can't justify spending 50 bucks (29.99 + 20 shipping) for a new remote when I only need the clip. My wife would hold that against me for the rest of...

Re: Where to buy 5V power supply in Canada?

Why not just buy the 9.99 one from Roku? I just did this to revive my soundbridge. I almost died when it came back to life. It cost 29.98 including shipping to Winnipeg and it got here in about 4 days. Or is that more than you're looking to pay? I was in the same boat as you...i went to local electr...

Re: M1001 Internal Power Unit Dead

I too had an apparently dead m1001 soundbridge. I went for a year without even thinking to try getting a new power adapter. Then I read this thread and a couple others on here, decided to gamble on the 9.99 plus shipping for a new one. And lo and behold, it works. So anyone who has an apparently dea...

Bubba, Upon further review, this seems to be the piece that would connect to my card: http://www.bettercomputers.com.au/hitec-digital-audio-hda-x510-digital-io-ports-p-597.html it would use those aud_ext pins. But I'm still interested to know if it might work via the CD-SPDIF pins. Thanks.

Hi Bubba. Thanks for reading and responding to this convoluted thread! I have a Creative Sound Blaster Live! card (model ct4780) The SPDIF says (CD SPDIF) and it is 2 pins. "According to the help file, it says this: Pin Description I/O 1 GND - 2 SPDIF In" whatever that means. It also has t...

thanks again for the discussion Harry.

After your replies, I'm assuming now that I need something like this:

The rest should be simple.

Thanks.

Your best bet is to try and use the digital output. Do you have a geek friend who can help you out with getting an input connector hooked up to the pins on your soundcard? Unfortunately, I'd say that I'm the geekiest of all of my friends. I did do quite a few searches on the 2 pin SPDIF today, tryi...

Could you explain a little further why you want to do this? Surely the music the SoundBridge is playing is either coming from your computer anyway, or from internet radio. Either way, your computer can play these sources directly, so why should the SoundBridge be involved at all? I want the ability...

Multiple Output Difficulties

Hello all. I have had the Roku now since last x-mas and I love it. I'll give you the low down on my problem. Roku is in basement and hooked up to my stereo receiver through the digital optical cable. For the past six months, I've also used the analog output to run a long cable upstairs to play throu...
