HDMI-CEC Bug with Roku TV devices

There seems to be a bug with TCL Roku TV's where CECStatus.IsActiveSource() is set to FALSE regardless. Seems to only be impacting Roku TV's at this time.

@Roku staff - Are you able to confirm this bug?

cecstatus.SetMessagePort(port)
CECStatus.IsActiveSource()

Thanks
/Chris

Re: Planned enhancements to the developer documentation

Tom, so far the new documentation layout looks good to me. On content, I noticed a bug in the documentation which had me hung up for a little while.  https://developer.roku.com/docs/references/brightscript/events/rocecstatusevent.md All references to ifCECStatus.IsActiveSource() should be:  CECStatu...

Re: HDMI-CEC Implimentation

Figured out the issue. Documentation is incorrect. It should be: CECStatus.IsActiveSource() to get the current CEC Status, not "ifCECStatus.IsActiveSource()"     screen   = CreateObject("roSGScreen")     port     = CreateObject("roMessagePort")    cecstatus = CreateObje...

HDMI-CEC Implimentation

I'd like to impliment an action when a CECStatus event is triggered per:  https://developer.roku.com/docs/references/brightscript/events/rocecstatusevent.md To watch for this event, a message port needs to be opened. How would I you do this?  Here's my main.brs:   Would I put it in here?     screen ...

Event when Television Powered off

Is there any Event or way to determine if the connected device is powered off? Trying to see a way to pause video playback if the device is turned off.

Thanks

Unable to remove Private Channel

Figured this would be the best place to post this potential Roku OS 9 bug. We have a published channel ( https://channelstore.roku.com/details/133629/ ) and a few users had installed a Pre-published version using the private channel code. ( https://my.roku.com/account/add?channel=LJCCCK ) The proble...

FHD vs UHD resolution

I've not been able to find previous posts on my specifics, so hoping someone can help me out Based on  this Roku  support doc, i n a Roku app, if you have your  ui_resolutions=fhd , this is designed for 1 920x1080 or 1080p size.  For displaying images (not videos), shouldn't there be an ...

Tooltip / Callout in Postergrid

The old Roku grid used to have a tool-tip/call out feature shown in the image below. The new Postergrid doesn't have this feature. Has anyone created any custom work around or have a suggestion on how to do something like this? Thanks!   https://sdkdocs.roku.com/download/attachments/1611378/worddav1...

Re: Loading Apps on New Roku IN ORDER

Hi  @RokuShawnS. Bringing up an old thread, but 2 years ago you stated this was a "Often requested feature". Does Roku have plans to address? I have 6 Roku's and when I download a new channel, it's always a pain getting the lineup the same across all. With firmware v8.0 just released I was...

Re: How to change the focused postion of MarkupList

Hey,  you would use the jumpToItem.  ( https://sdkdocs.roku.com/display/sdkdoc/MarkupList ) m.markuplist = m.top.findNode("someField“) m.markuplist.content = some content data m.markuplist.jumpToItem = 2 Make sure the content data is given first. If you have to build the content list, use an ob...
