Re: Invaild results received

There is a limit to how much data the SoundBridge can process when a large list of songs is sent to it. You may have reached that limit. When I was using Firefly Media Server, I could browse a library of up to about 20,000 songs. When I got above a certain number, the transaction would fail and the ...

Re: Cannot Find itunes Library after PC change

Here's what I would try: 1. Rename the iTunes library to something different than your previous one: Edit - Preferences - General - Library Name 2. Un-share your library on your network: Edit - Preferences - Sharing - uncheck Share my library - click OK, close and then re-start iTunes. 3. Re-share y...

Re: M500 LCD flickering / Brightness issue.

So many strange issues on these forums have been a result of power supply failures...the M500 uses
a 9V 1.3 amp regulated power supply. $9.99 from Roku,
http://shop.roku.com/soundbridge-accessories

or available from numerous other sources.

You may want to try a different power supply.

Re: foo_upnp

I am using foo_upnp 0.99.26 on my Foobar2000 1.0.3 installation. I'm a long-term Foobar2000 user and I like its power as a music manager and its simplicity, quickness, and ease of use. Yesterday I tried foo_upnp's UPnP Controller function, to allow me to "play on" any of my M1000 or two M1...

Re: SB can't download data

I've used Firefly and other servers with my SoundBridges for years. I found that if you try to browse more than about 25,000 songs, the SoundBridge chokes. If you set up your collection with playlists or such that when you browse with the SB you are not browsing more than around that number, you may...

You can send remote control commands to the M1000 without a remote by using the RCP shell. Here's a suggestion. Find out the IP address of your M1000 from your router. Go to a DOS command prompt on your computer. Assuming your M1000's address is 192.168.1.101: Type: telnet 192.168.1.101 4444 You sho...

You can: Click on Search Stations. Find a station that you like. Don't click on the green arrow next to the station title. Instead, click on the name of station. One of the options that comes up is "Save as a Preset..." On Tabs A, B, or C each of which contain 6 of your 18 presets, click t...

After it says "Let the music play" and the display goes out, did you then press the Power button on your M1001's remote control? The default on these is to go back to the state they were in when they were powered off. So if the last state was Standby, the device will return to Standby afte...

I have an M1000 and several M1001s. I am also running iTunes 9.0.2.25. The M1000 hardware is supposed to be the same as the M500 except for the display. I can connect to this version of iTunes from these either wired or wireless. My wireless is running WEP open system security as I mentioned in my e...

Also...if you're using security on your wireless network:

Since the M500 does not support WPA security, try it after making sure your router is set for the following:

WEP
ASCII mode
128-bit
13-character key
with "Open System" type of authentication, NOT "shared key".

I've never seen the flashing logo that you describe. But many people have reported strange behavior or non-response that turns out to be related to the power supply. You may want to try heading to your local electronics store and picking up a power supply or having them let you try it in the store. ...
