Re: No response from technical support

FYI: Roku has completely stopped responding to my tickets, no matter how polite I try to be. Here's how it went so far: 1. Radio died for the 2nd time (PSU) 2. RMA'd it again and this time got another unit as a replacement with WARRANTY VOID IF REMOVED sticker at the bottom 3. Audio died after 2 day...

What about the bottom of the radio? Just in front of the FM/AM connectors? I don't have IR thermometer, but my radio is even bit warmer there compared to the display.

And I'm talking about STANDBY temperatures when the radio has been in standby overnight. It is equally warm also when turned on.

Ok, because no one has answered, I'm assuming there is something wrong with my radio and will send it to warranty repair. :)

Wouldn't want to burn my house when that thing decides to burst in flames.

Warm radio

Hi, as my memory is so bad, I cannot remember was my first radio (that died some months ago) really as warm as this replacement radio I got (without the warranty sticker). There are two places that are unnaturally warm (I could almost use the word "hot") regardless whether the radio is on ...

Hi, thank you Matt for your thoughts. Reading the mails one more time I spotted this line: "2008-06-17 SYSTEM Device 126786 (145) transfered to eXpansys_US - ID: TC0806172 - XFER#: 20028" So the radio was actually replaced from Expansys US and not from Roku, which explains the whole thing....

I got my dead radio replaced under warranty but I received a unit that doesn't have the warranty sticker under it. :x

I have contacted Roku and Expansys (where I bought it from) but haven't yet received any reply.

Just to let you know my disappointment in Expansys customer support.

Dead in 6 months

Ha, mine was dead this morning, only 6 months old. :x

I have a hard time believing I really have to pay for the postage to send it to warranty repairs to France (I live in Finland).

Thanks Maleko for testing that.

Considering that my 40 inch LCD TV uses 0.27 W on standby I would be surprised if there weren't any way of making the power usage smaller from 5 W on standby.

As WiFi should only eat less than 1 W, there's still ~4 W's with a huge question mark on them.

Well, the wireless transmitter is on all the time when the device is plugged, so 18 W can very well be correct.

I really hope there will be a possibility to turn off the wireless on Roku when the device is on standby.

One vote for some equalizer type of setting. Can be the simplest treble vs. bass setting as I feel a tiny amount of more treble and little less bass should do the trick.

Pressing Back stop playback

Hi, I tried searching for this, but maybe the search terms are so generic, that I didn't find anything related to my simple question. The question is: when I'm listening to music that is streamed from my NAS, I click Back on remote control to go and choose other music, the music I was listening to s...

I also can confirm that the "off tune" hissing sound exists and in my opinion is quite loud. Clicking on UP/DOWN buttons it stops. I'm remembering the same behavior in radios where one could select stereo vs. mono. With poor signal STEREO would hiss loudly, but changing the receiver into M...

Re: menu structure

Please: Give me a possibility, to go after the title choice again step for step back in the menu!! for example I want to go back to the Komponist and listen to another CD from him. But I must search from the beginning. I absolutely second this. One of the features that makes at least iPod so fantas...
