Hopefully they are working on a Netflix interface for Roku more tailored to the auto refresh where it doesn't switch refresh rates in the main menu. Would be nice if it just stayed at 60fps in the menu while selecting a movie then when you go to watch something it will then show at it's native refre...
No I haven't tried to reset it and don't want to, what a hassle. I was hoping more people would respond complaining of the issue so that it would be worked on quicker.
Also check your settings on your TV. I had to turn on HDMI color (or whatever they call it) if I wanted to see HDR. Also if you are using an audio receiver make sure it's settings are correct or it may not allow 60hz and HDR to display, only 30.
@rockou Thanks for letting us know what you're seeing. - Could you please provide an example of a specific show/movie where you are now experiencing this issue in the Netflix channel? - What specific TV make/model (and A/V receiver, if any) are you using with your player? - Could you describe a ...
At one time the previews all stayed at 60hz except the big main preview of the show they were featuring when you first went into the Netflix app. That wasn't so bad. It would be good if they would make all main menu previews and whatever stay at 60hz then when you go into a movie then make it change...
My Roku Ultra (original one with optical output) updated to 9.1 last night and now when watching Netflix it won't auto switch to the correct refresh rate. I have that option turned on and it works in YouTube and Prime when I tried it. Everything in Netflix stays at 60hz now.
I checked my Ultra last night and the aquarium screensaver was still there. I did not have the city stroll one but I searched for it and added it manually. On our Roku 3 and Roku stick + in the bedrooms, the city stroll was on there automatically.
Can you give an example where you are seeing this? I know you said you were watching Ozark but what season, episode and the time into it. I'll check if I'm seeing a n issue as well if you can give that info.
I really only get the problem when switching resolutions and then ending up with a black screen and being kicked out in Vudu when trying to watch a free movie. Every once in a while I will end up with a lost signal but the back or home button has solved it.
Figured it out, at least for me. I keep trying to use that auto refresh rate option in the advanced settings on the Roku Ultra but it just keeps causing issues. I went and turned it off and now all free movies in Vudu I have tried work with no issue. I turned the option back on and almost every free...
I tried again last night. I selected How To Eat Fried Worms and it would not play. It tries to play the first ad then cannot and displays an error. I exited out and tried to watch it again and got the same thing. The Quick and the Dead did play however. It got through the first ad and started the mo...
