I wish I knew how. Seems too confusing for me - the guy who has to listen to popping audio throughout everything I watch. Does your 360 have to be turned on for the bridge to work, or does that not matter? The problem is, my router is on the desktop computer in a different room than the Big screen ...

Are you using wireless for your M1000? Are you able to stream MP3s from iTunes or another music program on your PC?

If you are using wireless and you can't stream MP3s, it could be that the wireless connection isn't able to handle some higher bit rate radio connections.

I'm with you on this one ... even if it "only" supported Amazon's unbox for streaming as far as movies for purchase. CEO Jeff Bezos referred to unbox streaming this morning (5/28 - see TechCrunch for details). I suspect Netflix will try to maintain the single-box configuration to eliminate...

As I wrote on the other posting, about Amazon, I received the explanation that I need to pay $199 for the fix from Lydon himself. He wrote me today. As far as my experience would show, the issue is not addressed and Roku has refused to repair my radio for free, despite their radio's design flaw. Th...

I *think* would be hard to synch them, as they don't really act as slaves of one another but as individual devices. Any difference in buffering rate for wireless operation would be a problem. One of the media streamers does synchronize slave units, but its quite a bit more than buying a few SoundBri...

You could still use that case as a drive enclosure and buy a Linksys NSLU2; its a pretty detailed process to update the firmware in the NSLU2 and get it booting from your harddrive, but I have mine working now and serving songs to my Soundbridge when my computer is off. You can check the Firefly wik...

I'm also using a Soundbridge M1001 connecting wireless with a Linksys WRT54G router (running in "mixed" mode) with WPA enabled. I'll post my exact configuration tonight, but it is possible to make it work.

Re: stream sound from DVD to Soundbridge??????

There are ways to send any audio on your PC to a stream that the soundbridge could play, but it would be terribly out of sync with the video. Maybe try a portable FM transmitter instead. Actually, the portable FM transmitter idea is the best one! They are pretty inexpensive and work pretty well (my...

So we picked up this 1 TB network-connectable external hard drive for $320 at Best Buy: http://www.wdc.com/en/products/Products.asp?DriveID=347 Haven't tried to see it from the Roku yet as we've been busy moving files over to it. Hopefully it works! We plan to pick up another one just like it to ac...

I don't think so ... sound on a DVD movie is stored in a different format; you can find utilities to extract it and convert it to a format like MP3, but it wouldn't be seamless or real time. You can find adapters for the mini-plugs used on your laptop's audio output to the RCA plugs on your stereo, ...

My wife and I love Echoes. Up to now we've been recording on cassette. I downloaded this prgram but can't figure out how to play through Roku. Not sure "search" would work for at least part of this question. Amazon provides a selling platform for quite a few dealers, and you sometimes will get more than one listing for a particular product. I don't know how the products are initially set up, but I suspect one dealer has the produ...
