My M1000 end cap fell off all on its own, at the wifi card end. I think I've unclipped this once in the time I've had it so it seems the heat generated by the unit stresses the cap's clips until they break. Anyhow, as I'm in the UK I contacted unlimited.com about replacement end caps, and they didn'...

Hmm guess I won't be upgrading just yet then. Why should I have to have updates to my M1000 that reduces functionality, due to limitations of the HomeMusic device, which I don't own?

Release separate firmwares imo.

I'm in the UK, have a ROKU Soundbridge M1000, purchased before Evesham or Pinnacle came on board. I'm running iTunes v 6.5, which works fine with my Nano (1st gen), and more importantly, no problems with my Soundbridge. So no, you're not forced to upgrade to v7 unless you're using Apple's latest pla...

Well they have already, I can stream via my Soundbridges Radios 1,2,3 and 4.

Please share the BBC Radio 1 url with us. All the old ones in this forum don't seem to work anymore. Thanks.

Yes I read that, but took it to meaning the clock is still generally positioned around the middle of the display. Mine always is anyway.

I meant use the whole length of the display, so wear all the pixels out at the same time, not just the middle ones.

Perhaps Roku could incorporate a random clock placement in a future firmware, that re-positions itself every 10 seconds or so, screensaver style?

My M1000 connects to a Linksys WRT54GS. When in standby mode my laptop running XP reports that the network speed is operating at 54Mbps. When streaming a tune to the M1000, the laptop still reports a 54Mbps connection, even after a reconnect! Is there any other way to determine the speed other than ...

There are two ways to accomplish this. The first is to build a playlist with all of your songs, and play that. The second is to do a 'Browse Songs' which will load your whole library and then hit shuffle and play. Do note that the length of a single list is limited to somewhere around 12000 items +...

I had the same the other month when the mother in law came for lunch and Eminem started to spit out profanity :lol:
I use iTunes to serve up the music, and with that you can set it to exclude sharing specified songs.

Adam Sandler's "At a medium pace" was the first one to be added!

My forum search threw up too many hits, but I have seen somewhere here a link to starting iTunes as a service. I think it requires a third party tool but it is easily possible. Try google if no joy.

return it

Surely if your M500 is Dead On Arrival then it should be returned to where you purchased it from? Statutory rights etc.

Take it back and get another. :)

Clock in standby

Could you please tell me if leaving the clock on when in standby is going to slowly decrease my M1000's life? The VFDs use something on the order of a watt or two. Very small amounts of power here. The power consumption is fine, but as my M1000 is in standby more often than playing music, I'm concer...
