Re: Duplicate unique ID

DerekHelps  used to be able to fix this, but it looks like he hasn't logged into the forum for a while & currently has PMs disabled. FrankB has looked after the updating of radioroku stream URLs - maybe it might be worth sending him a PM in case he has similar access to the radioroku configs, o...

Re: Help with R1000 Soundbridge

That's what I mean. Very thanks for your support Limebrit. I get to work now. :D If I can you ask for one more matter, can You verify how many V DC takes R1000 and how many Amps. thanks Are you talking about replacing it's power supply unit (the part that usually fails first/most frequently)? If so...

Re: Help with R1000 Soundbridge

I happened to have an R1000 open - on the orientation of your image, the lower one has G1 printed on it, whilst the higher one has 8A. There was no other identification that I could make out. I've uploaded the best photo I could manage of the VFD display board from my unit at the link below - hope t...

Re: Speaker Amplifiers replacement and new power supply succ

The speaker/ s on my Roku radio are noisy too. Is this something a radio repair shop should be able to handle or is it more specialised ? I am in the UK. It's probably beyond the average repair shop because the amplifier boards (which is the likely cause of the noise) are really hard to find/replac...

Re: VFD Screen Burn, permanent?

One other trick with the M2000s, is to go into configuration and set the date display to Long Day/Month/Year & the time to 24 hour and then select the largest available font (ZurichBold32) from the remote - this uses a greater proportion of the display for a greater portion of the time whilst th...

Re: Speaker Amplifiers replacement and new power supply succ

Keep us posted on your progress please? I've just sorted out the power supply on my SBRadio using a 14V brick plus a regulator board from ebay. I've cleaned off a lot of the brown gunk from the three amp boards, but the sub-woofer amp is really securely stuck to the case with a big gloop of hard ye...

Re: Speaker Amplifiers replacement and new power supply succ

I also tried to connect several amplifier modules I had (DIY kits or whatever) to the internal ROKU connector but I did always get a distorted sound. Hi Dirk, Were these all replacing satellite (L/R channel) amps, or for the Subwoofer too? Zebble's original report of success was for the Sub, so I'm...

Re: Speaker Amplifiers replacement and new power supply succ

After poking around with a multimeter/connectivity tester, I've concluded what the pinout assignments appear to be - with the front part of the R1000 opened & observing the connector pinouts for the Right, Sub & Left channels from the rear: Top -----------------------------------------------...

Re: Speaker Amplifiers replacement and new power supply succ

I decided to bring back to life my 2 R1000, both of which quit just after the warranty expired. I have replaced the PS but need to replace the three speaker amps. However I cannot determine the signals on the 6 pin connectors. Using a DVM, I have determined which pins are 19V and GND but cannot det...

Re: Speaker Amplifiers replacement and new power supply succ

I've an R1000 with a dead front-right speaker & noisy woofer for which I'd like to try the amplifier board replacement suggested, but I can't work out the wiring config used for the connectors - does anyone here know? zebble stated that the blue wire was to control muting and 3 connections must ...

Re: M2000 running software version 2.7.78...

Thanks Dupondt.

Just verified for myself that DTS multi-channel works with the newer software (although I had to remember to set the M2000 volume back to 100% before my receiver would decode - thought I'd messed up for a moment...).

Cheers, Limeybrit.

M2000 running software version 2.7.78...

Is there any compelling reason NOT to upgrade to version 3.0.44? I never got around to updating the firmware on the unit, partly due to the 'if it ain't broken then don't mess with it' chain of thought & partly because it was (and stil is) used with DTS recordings off my server & I think I w...

Although the nice M1000 display was one reason for my choosing the SB, it can be a bit on the bright side, even on the lowest setting, if you've got it playing in the bedroom to help you drift off to sleep. The 2 tricks I've used, are: Set the visualizer display to full-screen & vertical VU mete...

Which in turn, leads me to blow my first forum post on asking why you folks chose the name? Not a subtle tribute to Patrick McGoohan by any chance?
