Only info I have found was sling was testing in 2016 on roku. News on that is here maybe that is what your talking about?

There is also something I think Roku could do to help this problem a little. Add setting to the system so that you the user set how much in GB you want to use in 30 days. After you hit the set amount the box will lock and give you a screen to enter a password to use it if you want to o over the cap....
