Re: Horizontal scrolling in a Grid

No unfortunately we couldn't find a way make multiple rows in a horizontal grid scroll at the same time. We ended up replacing it with a vertical-scrolling rowList (where multiple columns do scroll at the same time). Thanks for the reply. Indeed, it is a little unpleaseant that the transition (with...

Re: Channel Guide

Hi Forum, .... Thank you for your time guys, In order to create a horizontal scroll, you have to adjust the column size. To move to the right you must shrink the columns on the left which will pull the data from off screen to on screen. To move back in the grid, those columns must be expanded back....

Channel Guide

Hi Forum, I have been working in designing a Channel Guide for ongoing and future content on our channel. I am currently using a markupgrid to show the information on the TV. Nonetheless, the problem with the markupgrid is that it has no sideways wrap, meaning that if the amount of items exceed the ...

Re: [Private Channel] What's On: TV & Movie Listings

First of, thank you @belltown for sharing this! I've been breaking my head on creating one for my channel, still am but now I have a better idea on what I was missing. Do you think adding a functionality to move across the guide towards the right, as to be able to see more future content, what would...

Centralized onKeyEvent or managing several

Hi Forum, I was wondering about best practices...If I have several .brs that work as Screens, meaning each have a specific purpose and are called from a main scene, but I was wondering if it is better to have an onKeyEvent each screen or manage all the key events (centralized with many many validati...

Re: Using roUrlTransfer from within a scene

Thank you for your reply EnTerr, and sorry for the late reply, I believed I had already done it. I created a Task exclusively to make the calls to the server given your explanation and have worked perfectly so far! Thank you for taking your time explaining it!

Re: Access ContentNode from MarkupGrid

Thank you for answering belltown. I want to do something of that sort, but ".itemFocused" returns an integer. I am assigning a whole contentNode to each position on the grid, and I want to access the info of that contentNode (like .itemFocused but someway to return the content node rather ...

Access ContentNode from MarkupGrid

Hi Forum, I am trying to access a specific item (ContentNode) from the MarkupGrid I made. I know I can acquire the number of the item I am accessing through markupgrid.itemFocused, but I was wondering how to get that specific node (selected on the grid) so I can acccess it from another .brs through ...

Access values after ParseJson are not in order

Hi Forum, I was wondering if anyone had a problem while accessing the values of a ParseJason by using for each. I copy and pasted the json that was returned into jsonprettyprint and it was valid, the format was as followed (cut short, but the main point is that it was valid since it was return witho...

Using roUrlTransfer from within a scene

Hi Forum I appreciate the help I've gotten so far from you. I came here with a new question. I've tried to create a roUrlTransfer from a scene I've loaded, but as expected it says it is invalid or unitialized. My main.brs is as followed:  sub RunUserInterface()     screen = CreateObject("roSGSc...

Re: Removing "retrieving" text while loading video

I've just realized my amateur mistake, I've set the value to "0xFF000000" and it seems to have worked well so fine. It is (as it seems) a ARGB format after all. I'll keep making tests and if anything comes up I'll let you know. Thank you for your time @EnTerr

Re: Removing "retrieving" text while loading video

You were setting `.retrievingTextColor = &h00FFFFFF` ? In what way that "didn't work"? Did it show in different color or what? It is relevant as to the next steps to try, e.g. maybe the color is not in ARGB format but RGBA. Or did you try &h01 as a color? TFM says 0 means system d...
