I also have 24/96 sources, and wanted to convert that to lower resolution for the Soundbrigde (M200, latest firmware). I encoded in m4a (alac) in 48KHz, 16 bits (From a 48/16 FLAC using Max 0.9.1, generated from the 96/24 FLAC by foobar2000). iTunes reports 48KHz 16bits, but when playing on the soun...
Thanks for all the great support, getting some great feedback and everyone seems to be happy with the update. I shall certainly look at track ordering again, i've tried and tested on my end with wmp and firefly and both work as they should so im a bit confused atm. But I'll plough on and see if I c...
Having the bitrate is important especially if you are listening to classical radios on a good system, so +1 for having this information readily available!
Cheers,
The problem is more a case of do they have the free space available in the flash memory on the SoundBridge and do they have engineers available to do the work, is it a priority etc. Exactly the points I was making... :) I have to say it would be nice to have it, but not essential given that the alt...
Something that can be useful (at least to me )
The possibility to use the web interface to give the URI of a song in a form, and interrupt the current program with that new song, then revert back to the original program.

This is fine, but when I select "add" on the remote at the album level, ...
I would second that request....please... The Audio Format Request thread is already quite full of FLAC requests. Sounds like we are many people waiting for that to happen. (currently listening some flac converted on the fly by mt-daapd on my Roku, at the expense of wireless bandwidth, although sinc...
The Soundbridge's MP3 playback codec should be improved to support totally gapless playback of LAME encoded MP3 files (which has delay/padding info in the file header - http://gabriel.mp3-tech.org/mp3infotag.html under "Encoder delays"). There shouldn't even be the smallest click/pop/dropout betwee...
If you plan to rerip everything, consider usine something like Exact Audio Copy (EAC), seewww.exactaudiocopy.org, and store in any lossless format you want. I use FLAC personally, as I have a Unix server, but as long as it is a lossless format, you win. There are lots of tools transcode your origina...
