Video playback options

I want to run a short presention video with audio on a loop. Is it possible run it off a large flash card rather than getting it off a some network device? I want to use as few hardware components as possible for this information display.

Any suggestions?

Can the HD1000 run 24/7?

I am planning on using a Photobridge to run a continous slideshow. Would it be able to run trouble free for an indefinite period of time?

I think I have a handle on the problem. The Mac has a problem writing to the disk properly. The file opened fine on the HD1000 when I copied it over with a PC. FYI, the text on my poster art is a bit hard to read on a 720 display. Overall the image looks great.
