I'm super happy with my PS3 and don't use my PB so much anymore. However, I'm mostly interested in music, photos and standard def video (and Blu-ray of course). I've heard others mention HD is not so good on the PS3 so if that's your need their might be issues. I'm pretty sure Sony have several more...

Woot! Just got my unit back from Pyramid yesterday and have been using it non-stop since. They replaced the power supply and modified the MB. Turn-around was fast and the price was reasonable. I have no doubt the unit will last for a long time now.

Mine's at Pyramid right now. Can't wait to get it back! I sent it to Roku last time and the repair they did only lasted 6 months...

Yes. You have probably joined the ranks of dozens of others who had the power supply fail. Mine died last December and the Roku repair only lasted 6 months before it failed again. My advise, send it to Pyramid Audio for a proper, longer lasting repair. Details in the other "No Power" threa...

dgburns, my Power Supply just died again 5 months after getting it repaired (by Roku) so I was considering a move to PS3, though I will probably get my Rev A unit fixed by Pyramid to use in another room. I'm curious what is better about Roku/Mplay over PS3 for streaming video? Is the quality better?...

My PS died about 2 months ago. I dragged my feet for a month and then finally sent it in to Roku to have it fixed. I got it back after about 3.5 weeks and am loving life again. Man was it tough to be without MPlay and just basic music playing... I've been listening to HEX Radio for about 8 hours str...

Well, it finally happened to me. Today, Thanksgiving day, when I went to turn on my (Rev A) HD1000 nothing happened. The unit was cold, nobody home. I was an early adopter with my first post on this forum being back in September 2004. I made it 25 months with my unit and it will be sorely missed. I'...

I hear ya dgburns. Believe me. However, as a user of the HD1000 since September 2004 I can tell you that NOBODY has been begging Roku for more photo features until literally the last week or two, other than a few random posts here and there. Video and Music consumed the time of RokuDon and the other...

By the way, I believe this is not the case with the SoundBridge because Roku was able to get Apple licensing for that product line. They have stated in previous posts that they wanted very much to include the same capability in the PhotoBridge but Apple refused to license it. Roku even encouraged us...

I have over 5000 HUGE pictures on one of my shares and I have never had a scanning error or got locked up, so not sure what's going on there. To me what it needs is the ability to: A. Create a playlist on the fly so you can choose a set of folders and/or files to play as a slideshow B. Display photo...

You can push "play" on the root folder and it will do a slide show of all photos with in it (in order though) or click on the slideshow app at the root level where your photos are and get the same thing. You don't have to press next every time. Even on a sub folder (before you drill into it) pushing...

I gotta ask this just in case.... :-)

Any chance you have 2.0.35 on a compact Flash card (in your cf slot) that got re-installed when the Roku rebooted?

There are currently no third party apps for photo browsing and the functionality you see now is all you get. It hasn't changed since 1.5.18. The good is that the photo browser does work and the rotate and zoom functions are pretty cool but the bad is a total lack of random order, playlists, photo al...
