I guess I don't really understand things to that level. But, wouldn't that effect other devices connected to the Buffalo as well? I have one ReplayTV, a modded XBox XBMC and an Elgato EyeHome attached to the Buffalo as well, and all of these work fine.

I've got the WRT54G (with the Sveasoft firmware) running in bridge mode to a Buffalo (WGR54 or something) just fine. Granted, it was a pain to set up, but it's working. Patrick, I have exactly this setup, and have some problem, so I'm hoping you can help. I have: Linksys WRT54G w/Sveasoft Satori-4....

I also use the WRT54G, but I've upgraded to a third-party firmware from Sveasoft . Depending on what version of the router you have (1.1, 2, 3.0), you can use one of their firmwares. The most bleeding-edge ones require a $20/year subscription. Anyway, all of them offer a section that lets you assign...

Open a telnet window and "telnet rokuipaddress"

You'll get a password prompt. Just hit return. It will then ask for a login name. Use "root" and you'll be in.
