Probably the biggest reason I DON'T use HexRadio more frequently is the effort required to customize it for what I want. Like being able to filter out particular types of streams that won't play on my Roku, eliminate low bitrate streams from the list, etc. Would you be willing to send me a list of ...

I was going to go ahead and order the parts so that I had them on hand when it happened. I was wondering if it would be worth it to get a High Temp Electrolytic Capacitor to replace the 47uF instead of just a standard generic electrolytic cap? I would definitely go for the 105°C electrolytic over ...

Fixed stock power supply

I was able to fix my power supply by replacing the 3842B and the 47µf electrolytic capacitor C5. The electrolytic had degraded (from the heat, no doubt) to about a 9µf cap with a lot of leakage, so it wasn't able to charge to the 30V needed to kick the 3842B into action. $1.16 w/ free shipping fro...

Re: how to fix it!

I fixed my by replacing the current mode PWM controller IC (UC3842N) and the n-channel FET (K2645) for switching the primary side of the transformer. My board doesn't seem to have a FET on the primary transformer side, but it does have a UC3842BN that appears to have failed (Vi is only 2.4V). I'm g...

Morex 60W supply

:!:

The Morex 60W power supply is spec'ed for only 4A @ 3.3V. Since the original supply states 7A @ 3.3V, I'm a little concerned about long term reliability.

Has anyone measured the actual voltage on the Roku board with the Morex 60W supply, or measured the current draw?

Fan. While moving the power brick outside of the PhotoBridge case should already help, some people are still concerned about heat buildup. If a small enough fan could be found, it could be placed in the case to circulate and keep the components cooler. It could potentially be powered by the spare p...

Yup, that change sorted it. Now that I can compile the source, I'll see if I can track down some of the crashes/hangs that I see:
    -) While browsing during scanning
-) Skipping to the next song before the current one starts playing

Ah - this is an easy one: if (strcasecmp(pic, "image/jpeg") == 0) { info->flags |= R_EMBED_ART; } /* * FIXME: * Need to check the type too. Probably should only * deal with types 0x03 and maybe 0x04 */ A check for "image/jpg" should solve my problem. Derek

I've tried removing and rebuilding the database, and Sonica does detect the art: Found embedded picture type: image/jpg But it still won't display it. I tried copying the extraced jpg to cover.jpg in the album directory, and that _did_ work, so this doesn't appear to be a progressive jpeg issue... D...

I've extracted the art in question with get_pic from id3lib and placed it here: <edit - picture removed from web site>

Thanks,

Mythroku Wake-on-LAN

For those using Wake-on-LAN with your mythtv master backend, here is an HD1000 binary (and the original source) for ether-wake: http://68.166.220.123/~dtaubert/roku/ether-wake.tgz If you extract the binary into your mythroku application directory, the following change to mythroku.roku can be used to...
