The blanking problem is when the Roku stops sending a video signal to the TV for about 2 seconds then starts again, causing the screen to go blank.

I NEVER ONCE had a problem with my Roku 3 blanking on my Samsung @ 1080. But it started when I upgraded to a Roku Premier+. Tried everything. They even sent me a new one. I even got a new HDMI cable, but the black screen only happens on 1080. It never happens with 720.

I never had a single blanking issue with my Roku 3. Never once. But when I got a Roku Premiere+, the blanking started. Roku sent me a replacement unit, but the blanking still occurs. I even tried buying a new high quality HDMI cable, but it still happens.
