Re: Unable to send big data over roStreamSocket

ok, solved, was a timeout issue on server-side.

Want to mention the transfer speed about sending data on server is about 12KB/s on Roku Stick 3500EU (9485) WiFi, 70KB/s Roku Ultra via Ethernet. So speed is not for bigger data.

On Roku Stick I am able to send up to 1 31,072 characters over socket, if send one more character connection will be closed, rest of application continue regularly  aft...

Re: global as a reserved word

This was from one of the original BrightScript Reference Manuals (PDF): "BrightScript does not support global variables.  Except, there is one hard-coded global variable "global" that is an interface to the global BrightScript Component.  The global component contains all global libr...

Re: Benchmark Results: AA vs Node

Well there is lot of things to avoid, eg.: to avoid hasField or doesExists for node props or AAs and replace it with simple type(node["myProp"]) <> "Invalid" to decrease performance leak, when I do it in loop for nth thousands of repeating it could be different in a few s...

When I keep telnet connection opened and put computer into sleep, sometimes it happens automatically by inactivity, or I disconnect from network for a while (wifi switching or so), I will be disconnected and ...

Re: Benchmark Results: AA vs Node

Nice article but nothing surprising it's similar as in Javascript creating an objects which contains some basic fields and methods. Logically nodes must be slower then AA because it contains more interfaces ... to create custom list must be faster then use predefined grid components when you avoid C...

Re: Getting Started with RALE Tool

On top of app is a bar on their right side is a "Device: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX" and next is "Chanel: Side-Load a Channel" so click on a "Side-Load a Channel" link and select a "Import a Zip File" button and if your app is valid that's it. To validate you can try jus...

Re: Getting Started with RALE Tool

I just tried it and yes you can load your own application, but this is more for designing an core apps then programming, has  some points for debugging if you need check current not visible attributes, maybe usable for manual testing when you are not able to see a device :). So as I said think is go...

Re: TCP Socket client

Currently this library is working really nice on dev branch, but it has one uncomfortable issue which is a performance on slower devices, would be nice if someone help to solve it!
