I'd bet it was this sequence. Rebooting everything in that order can fix a lot of network problems.

9. Shut off TV, then Roku, then the router.
10. Turned on the router.
11. Turned on roku and TV.

The Roku 4 gets roughly 6-7 hours of use with the headphones in a 24 hour period.

Rechargeables are probably the best solution for that much use.

I'd exchange the Roku2 for an HDMI Stick. It's designed for use on wall hung tvs and comes with a USB power cord and adapter.
