RadioRoku.Com - NEW “Hosting Server” Issues

Well Roku, you may have chosen a better company than Lunar Pages, however you still managed to brick the Radio Roku service so we currently can’t use/access any ‘’Favourites” and there are no Top Stations and currently no browsing on any SoundBridge devices. And as usual from the Management,...

Andy

how have you managed to resolve all the power supply unit's problems that are listed in your earlier posts to these forums? (I read about them in your user profile).

BTW, I think the £150 you mention is a fair price for a unit that was sold to you in 2005, hence my interest.

@ DJans You obviously have never used and thus know absolutely nothing about FlexBridgeRadio – it is not intended to be a replacement for a Soundbridge when the RadioRoku server is operational, this software is a fantastic tool to support the Soundbridge when their server has failed. Addition...

@ amdb7 don't post such crap! I purchased my Soundbridges specifically for the purpose of what Roku clearly advertised on their main page: Just use your remote control to choose "Play Internet Radio" from the main SoundBridge menu, and then you can browse and search for stations. Listen to...

Could someone from Roku please comment on the current situation, and are we ever likely to have the availability to hear these streams in Europe, forgive my lack of knowledge on this topic.

I’ve just logged-in to these forums, and it’s nice to note that the Moderators are prepared to share their opinions as to how and why Roku Radio has so many stations that no longer work on my Soundbridge. Let us hope that Roku's CEO reads something into what has been stated by them, an...

What an answer - . . I never discussed anything about situations of streams being updated. Seems to me that you are looking to change a long established policy of Roku Radio, if I were in your place I'd certainly wonder how previous moderators managed to approve such stations, as t...

Hello again Frank, After reading your reply I have just checked on what I stated earlier, as I wanted to be absolutely sure that what I had written was completely factual. And it would seem that other moderators have accepted the fact that it has been acceptable for foreign users to have submitted s...

Re: The queue is clear - please submit any updates or new

The outstanding RadioRoku queue is now clear. All existing stations in the queue are either geo-locked or text other than English (sorry - I'm monolingual) Since when has the "WorldWide" policy changed? Our Rokus have been sold in countries that are outside the borders of the USA. Station...

I can only hope that the native Squeezebox interface is far more usable that the Soundbridge version. In our immediate family we have those who enjoy the ownership of a Logitech Boom, a Roberts WM201 and a Roku M1001 - Given that we are talking Internet Radio here, please explain your above comment...

Certainly not if you own a R1000 Soundbridge radio. The way they have treated their customers is a disgrace.

This thread is getting somewhat Off Topic , so let me quickly assure you that RokuJamesL does not only read these forums but he also deletes posts that criticise what he feels don't suit him. Permit me to explain - as he took offence to my original post about the fact that he'd failed to make an apo...

Had such a pathetic situation occurred here in Europe, I am 101% convinced that the response from the company would most certainly have started with them offering an apology for the disgraceful treatment received :!:

What the heck is going on?

Checking in the Search files for something totally different, I came across a link that shows all the latest entries and submitted stations to Roku Radio: http://www.radioroku.com/streams.php?sort=11&top=0&find= But imagine my horror when I found that nobody from Roku has actually bothered t...

@ Batka The answer to your question is that their marketing efforts were crap and they missed the boat, and once Pinnacle ceased selling SoundBridge outside of the USA their unit sales became insignificant. You should understand that SoundBridge and Radio Roku are two sides of the same coin. On one ...
