I am also still using a 2-XD, and I'm still pretty happy with the performance. As you say, streaming is just fine, but some channels seem to take longer to load than others. As for me, YouTube is really the only one that I have been trying to avoid. The rest I can handle. One thing that helped speed...
arindos, Being an electronics geek, I would probably be tempted to fix it myself. Otherwise, personally, I would feel more comfortable having it fixed by somebody local. Or if you know somebody that is good with a soldering iron, there are a number of good threads talking about the different methods...
My cable ISP has had a 100GB per month allowance for about a year. I've never gone over the allowance and I watch the Roku almost every evening. My average usage is 30GB per month. They charge $1.50 for each GB over the allowance. I don't like caps, but I just went back through the logs on my route...
So..I was on the phone with a Comcast rep and it turns out for exactly the same amount I was paying for just internet, I could get basic cable too. I didn't know. I think $60/month is a ridiculous price to have to pay, but at least now I don't need an OTA antennae. I've had the same thing for a few...

If it works on their network; have another...
Looks like a good start. I'll bet that Amazon will put up a good portion of the content that is available from other streaming providers, if they can work it out with the studios. It will be interesting to see how this plays out and how Netflix responds. Anyway -- keep those options heading this way...
None, now. But I used to homebrew some years back, and I would encourage anyone who has been thinking about it, to go for it. When done right; there is no better beer than a fresh handcrafted beer.
Comcast ISP (avg. 12-18Mbps down & 4-7Mbps up) Motorola Cable Modem Linksys WRT54G-L running DD-WRT v24 SP1 Roku HD (N1000) connected via wired Ethernet No complaints. Smooth sailing most of the time. UPDATE: Issues on & off again with Netflix rebuffering... http://forums.roku.com/viewtopic....
I'm a fan of Steve Gibson & Gibson Research, so I used DNS Benchmark, which worked great for me. It's freeware and runs on Windows and also on Linux through Wine.
