Re: SBR Finally Kaput! What to do with it now?

That worked! Thanks, Dupondt. Fortunately, I still have the old Roku snooper application installed on my old Windows XP computer, a device I turn on maybe every two months. That led me to the configuration page and I did as you said. Much appreciated.

Re: SBR Finally Kaput! What to do with it now?

The clock on one of my two Soundbridge 1000s just died, and along with it the sleep timer. I got a display saying "trying to set clock" and it gave up after a couple of minutes. Any suggestions for reactivating the clock? Rebooting the unit and resetting it to factory defaults did not work...

Re: Why do SBRadios die?

I don't know why they die, but they do. I think it's usually the power supply. Whatever the reason, Matt Burkhard did a great job of fixing two of mine. See these threads: http://forums.roku.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=22632 http://www.avsforum.com/forum/39-networking-media-servers-content-streamin...

You haven't heard of Logitech Squeezebox, or Sonos, Grace, Sangean? All big names in streaming radio players. There are many more. At the...

Can't find direct URL for BBC Africa service

Can anyone help me find the direct URL for the BBC's mixed-language Africa Service radio stream? The player can be accessed here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/audioconsole/?stream=africa_mix I activated the Roku Snooper while streaming audio through the player, but nothing appeared. I contacted...

Station URL doesn't match station that's playing

Recently my Soundbridge mysteriously changed the reception on a preset from the BBC World Service to the BBC's Africa service. I like it and would like to preserve the new setting. Weirdly, though, the URL displayed both on the unit and the Snooper-generated web page shows the old URL. I tried copyi...

Re: No response from technical support

Matt did a great job of fixing mine and sent it back within two weeks. Now I can listen to the BBC again and avoid endless commercials on KGO and KCBS (San Francisco) when I want to. I'll be sending him my other Roku Soundbridge when its original power supply conks out.

I'd say you have much better odds that it will stay fixed if you let Matt repair it. Definitely worth the extra $15 IMO based on many satisfied user's reporting back to these forums.
Thank you. That's the way it appears to me too. I'll be sending it to him. Much appreciated.

Re: R-1000 dead and no help from Roku

Let me ask everyone: the power supply in my R1000 seems to have failed. Matt Burkhard will repair it for $89 and will install better components. I was planning to send it to him but then I got an e-mail from Roku saying they'll replace it (if it needs replacing, which they thought it does) for $75. ...

Re: CBC Radio One change of format

The CBC website recently posted updated links to a long list of Radio One (news radio) stations. These links, when plugged into your Roku Soundbridge via the Roku Radio Snooper program, will run CBC Radio One following its conversion from WMA to MP3 format. Here's the CBC link: http://www.cbc.ca/lis...

Thanks for the information. I hope my Soundbridges last and work for a long time. I thank Roku for producing the Soundbridge and wish it had been a more successful product. We have interns at work who hail from various corners of the world and I've recommended the Roku Soundbridge to one or two of t...

Re: An open letter to Roku's CEO Anthony Wood

I've been having trouble getting the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's Radio One lately on my Roku Soundbridges (there's a thread about that elsewhere in these forums) and in trying to solve it I stumbled across this thread. I am multilingual (mostly in French, Spanish, and Portuguese as well as E...
