If I wanted a computer in my living room, then sure. But then I could just have run Windows Media Center all together I guess... As the intention of the SoundBridge M1000 is to connect to a server and play content from it (in a home), a wake-up function should be a very natural thing to support. Ma...

Re: Evil Apple??

I'm just curious as to why Apple is the bad guy? They develop software and provide it free to the world. They make changes - some would say improvements - I think the new interface is great - and again, release it to the world for free. A third-party company who advertises that their product "...

I though 2.5.173 was the current released version? And that a normal firmwate update would grab it.

I'm not yelling at anyone. I'm asking a simple question. I build software for a living and I could give you a fairly good estimation how long it would take to fix a bug in our stuff or an integration problem with a piece of third party kit. I could say, a few minutes, a day, a couple of weeks or se...

How to check the firewall settings? Read the documentation for it or contact the manufacturer of the firewall. Also check the router settings for communications restrictions.

Actually the issue is having both the wired and wifi interfaces on the soundbridge configured at the same time. So just don't have the wifi card in the soundbridge and you'll be okay.

Without knowing exactly how your firewall is set up.... ⋅ If you're using DHCP, try reseting the SB to factory defaults and see what it can see then. ⋅ If that doesn't work, check firewall settings for wire<->wifi communications - does it block anything ⋅ Apple has many...

Pagemakers, they've answered as well as they can for now... multiple times. Sorry, but for now... you'll need to do without SoundBridge if you don't want to use Firefly or downgrade iTunes. Sorry I disagree. I am sure an rough estimate could be provided. So I ask again....Approximately: A week, a m...

We also have an official daap license. But that doesn't buy us anything. Apple (Craig K.) keeps telling lies and refuses any help. So it's reverse engineering again... However, daap between the Soundbridge and the Hifidelio still works! ;) Who knows, it might actually be a bug. I did find one oddit...

I've had no problems with cables and the end caps. The ethernet cables just require a decent quality cable - they tend to bend a little easier. And as for the optical cable, the bend in the cable I have seems fine. One thing to check for on optical cables is how bluky/long the connector is. One with...

Have you tried looking up information on Apple's Support Site?

One search that will yield info is looking for iTunes and firewall.

Instead of asking when new features will be implemented (e.g. streaming WMA ;) ), I would like to know if there is a planned beta release around the corner. Will we see a beta run soon? If so, about when?
From what the Roku folks have said, I'd expect a new beta in a week or two.

WiFi question...

In the FAQ, I see that the SB Radio is compatible with both 802.11b and 802.11g. What the FAQ nor anything else that I've looked at says is what the WiFi in the unit is? Is it an 802.11b or an 802.11g unit? Yes, it does matter as 802.11b devices on an 802.11g network will slow everything down somewh...

Re: two rebates on separate receipts

"All eligible products must be purchased during the promotion period (see above) and must be identified by one receipt."

There are some rebates where you have to buy multiple items, and in most cases all those items need to be purchased on the same receipt.
