So you got a router (with switch) and not just a switch this time? What model number is it? It's a U.S. robotics router model USR8004. Yes, it's a cheapie, but it works. One interesting thing in the troubleshooting section......If all else fails, "disconnect and reconnect the power to the rout...

I hooked up a new router, rebooted the HD1000, and everything works. I can't believe that I suffered with the old one for so long.

Thanks Matt, I had to go back to version 2.0.36 and the appropriate version of Mplay. After a lot of frustration I finally got everything working again by disconnecting the DSL cable. Thirty minutes later I got a picture freeze, so it couldn't be the DSL connection. Anyway, I'm going to buy a differ...

OK, what's your full setup? Three inputs to the switch: cable to/from DSL cable modem cable to/from pc cable to/from HD1000 This setup has never changed. I had lots of problems when I first got the HD1000, but I finally got a software version that worked. This arrangement worked for at least a year ...
It's a Linksys 5 input switch. The Nameplate says Model EZXS55W. I bought it at Fry's Electronics and it's a bottom-of-the-line unit. I don't know how to check any router settings.

Thanks Matt, I got to watch one file with no picture freezing. Unfortunately, I tried two things to fix the problem and have no idea which one did it. I disconnected the DSL line into my router so that the only things connected were my computer and the HD1000. I also reset(?) the router by disconnec...

My problem is back where the picture freezes every ten minutes. I ran the script that soiaf wrote, but it didn't help. I tried running it with and without a reboot. I've made no changes from the setup that was working fine. I'm running version 2.0.36. I thought I had downloaded 2.0.34, and didn't ev...
It runs a script every ten minutes called smbremount (which rescans/remounts shares). This is the first time I've had even a hint at what might give me such a timing problem. Thanks. Also thanks for the script. I'm a little shy about trying it now that I'm up and running, bu...

Thanks for all of the help. I finally reloaded 2.0.34 and DID NOT reset to factory settings. Everything is working and I have no idea why. Just to make it perfectly clear for everyone, the PS repair revived my dead HD1000. It in no way has been related to my problems. The title of this thread might ...

Problems After PS Fix

I sent my HD1000 in to Pyramid Audio and got the PS and motherboard fixes. My motherboard had a failed voltage regulator. I've had all kinds of startup problems and have worked through most of them. My hardware is Ver. B and I'm using firmware 2.0.34 (35 didn't work well at all). I upgraded MPlay to...

Just got my HD1000 back from Pyramid Audio. A test point on the main board showed a failure in a voltage regulator. Turn around was short. It sure is good to have the HD1000 working again. As others have said, I didn't know just how much I depended on it.

Video stuttering and loss of audio FIXED!

When I first got my Photobridge I spent weeks trying to fix problems with video and audio play. I tried new firmware, Mplay software, etc. It started working and worked well for over a year. I wan't sure what fixed the problem. Well, the problem reoccurred and once again I went the firmware/software...

Okay, here's what I have. Doing an 'ipconfig' shows my IP address to be: 130:WWW.XXX.YYY. I had my neighbor ping me and he had no problem seeing the 130.www.xxx.yyy. I then called another friend who pinged me from about 2 miles away. Same result. My friend's IP address showed 192.168.xxx.yyy with hi...

Thanks,

I was afraid that was the problem. I think I'm okay with my router setup. Everything from Qwest is brand new. All of the switches and the fiber feeding the switches. It would seem that such a new setup would be so archiac when it comes to security.

Interesting LAN problem

I recently changed from a dialup connection to VDSL with Qwest. When I look at the shared files listed on my PB, I can see folders and files from other computers in my neighborhood. I can open images and music. I called one neighbor and told him about it and he "un-shared" the files. They disappeare...
