Re: Roku Express in reboot loop

I'm curious to know if your ROKU reboots every 3 minutes whether or not it's playing video Good thought! It did occur to me, but I didn't try it. It just went 8 minutes on the home screen with no problem. Then I checked some settings, and then opened the YouTube channel. It rebooted after 2 minutes...

Re: Roku Ultra 4, can't format new microSD card

Not just Roku in particular but it's common for devices to reject certain SD cards.  Check your documentation for approved and tested cards, I've had good compatibility results with Sandisk SD cards in general but I haven't tested one specifically with a Roku.

Re: Screen mirroring not working

I was just able to mirror the screen from a Galaxy J7 running Android 9 to a Roku by using the "Smart View" icon on the pulldown notifications menu.  Audio worked as well, I played a short MP4 as a test.

Re: Workaround: Forcing Roku to connect with no Internet access.

I pulled my hair out with this as well, so I know the frustration.  I settled for miracast-ing to ROKU from my Android device.  This seemed to work, further testing is in order to confirm.

If ROKU chimps out with no internet then DLNA using Roku Media Player might become an issue for me.

Re: 14.30 connection error message

Sounds like a router password issue to me.  Not certain of that but might explain why the ROKU cannot log in.  Log into your router's configuration web page to confirm the password?

Re: PORNHUB DOWN

NETFLIX supports older versions of Android with a separate app (side loaded from netflix's website, not playstore), FWIW.  I know that doesn't help with the Roku interface but just info.

I agree sometimes less is more.

Re: Roku Express in reboot loop

I'm curious to know if your ROKU reboots every 3 minutes whether or not it's playing video. FWIW, and I could be wrong, but 3 minutes seems to be about the limit of the video buffer (depending on resolution, perhaps shorter or longer than this perhaps?) b/c I can disconnect the internet feed and the...

Re: Roku TV keeps disconnecting from WIFI

Move the TV closer to the WIFI router and see if the performance improves.  You may need to obtain a router extender if the distance is too great.  I find 25ft is about the limit if there are any obstructions like walls, laundry machines and water heater tanks are huge obstacles.

Re: Network Connectivity Issue

There might be some kind of interference, I'd suggest switching from/to 2.5GHZ or 5GHz as a test. FWIW, I find 2.5GHz goes a bit further but of course 5GHz has higher throughput and if the signal is consistently strong 5GHz is preferable.  Another channel on the frequency being used might help as we...

Re: "An Unexpected Problem"

Turns out now the power supply issue is resolved, the DLNA (and everything else) works beautifully.  This power supply was running the router responsible for handling the internet connection, it wasn't the DHCP or DLNA router, so the problem has been around for a while, undetected, until the router ...

Cool, glad you found a solution!  :D

I don't believe it, one of my extenders had a bad power supply so now I get to repeat some of my testing again (with a focus on DLNA).  Chances are the network will be considerably more stable, I expect.
