You'd have to rip only one angle. The credits use multi-angle and MPlay just plays all angles. MPlay limitation.

Hi scans, The main problem is not extracting and displaying the subtitles, but to keep them in sync with the movie. The Roku API doesn't provide any information back WRT where in time the HW MPEG decoder is at. We could try to guesstimate the current playbak position based on time only (as opposed t...

We never published the sources for MPlay 3.x. We don't plan to do it for now.

I have it fixed at home, but want to clean up some things. As I don't seem to get the time, let me post my MPlay binary. Don't use it for streaming UPnP/HTTP, as it would slow some things a lot. It works fine for me when reading files. Let me konw your experience. http://home.pacbell.net/mar_ross/ro...

It seems you found your answer. The DVDs you are looking at have pan-and-scan info in them and the HD1k uses that. It is out of Mplay's control, other than parsing the stream myself. There is no option in IFOEdit or DVDDecrypter that will help. You have to keep waiting for Roku to get their act toge...

Re: video sync problems

I am running Mplay 3.5 with SB 2.5.150. When I FF or REW, I frequently get either a completely black screen, or a very pixeliated screen. Once I get this, it typically takes many (4-8 presses) subsequent REW or FF before the video syncs up again. -maxbuffers and -FixTS do help, but even with them t...

I suspect time-shifting is broken since some Roku FW update. Not sure which. I'm working on a fix, but haven't completed it yet (water-heater broke, room flooded, and other life pleasentries have distracted me :) ) If you let your server be enough ahead of the HD1K, you may not notice. I'll try to f...

I do exactly that and it works fine, lets me "time-shift". I just need a couple of minutes of the program to be able to start watching. Even if you try to FF past the end, MPlay will stay 10 sec behind the end, so you can watch "live". I run into this problem when I "time-shift" and end up almost c...

MPlay sees these files no problem and plays back the video (completely smoothly btw), but (you guessed it) i'm not getting any audio. Jeff, Can you post or mail me a 10M clip of one of your files? It could be that MPlay doesn't detect the audio at the begining of the file, but [info][info][done] fi...
