Re: Roku 9.1.0 Build 4111-04 Update on 6 June Causing Multiple Windows Blue Screen Of Death Issues With Plex Media Serve

@OP and other BLOD sufferers with Plex. Are these videos being transcoded? Does it happen if you direct play a video?
Also, if you use RMP instead of Plex Channel does it still happen with transcoded videos? This is important since plex transcodes differently when using RMP vs the Plex channel.

Re: USB fails to recognize USB storage device

For DLNA, RMP browses the DLNA database folder structure to locate media. It does not remember this after leaving the dlna server or exiting RMP. It needs to be read again. For USB, RMP now caches much of the meta data, poster art, artist, genre, etc. This can exceed a couple megabytes. If your Roku...

Re: RMP Goes back to menu when loading folder

A new release of RMP is now available for OS 9.1. This should correct the Goes back to menu when loading folder problem. Please update and try it out.

Re: Best usb media player app

Those are some pretty long filenames. Using filenames to embed the description is an interesting way to get a description in there since RMP currently doesn't pull metadata out of video files.
Off the record, have you looked at what a playlist.m3u file might allow you to do?

Re: Best usb media player app

Did you mean short or long rows? There is no short or long lists.
There is however just "list".
That setting will show more of the name.

Re: USB device error, “no compatible media found”

The cache would not have been full.  Maybe there was some corruption. There is another method to maybe fix this. If you press * while focused on the usb icon, a dialog comes up. SCAN is one of the new options. It will scan for all audio files. Videos are presently ignored in the full scan, however t...

Re: USB device error, “no compatible media found”

Ah yes, no compatible "Media" means you have it set to ALL. Thanks for pointing that out. I am trying to rule out a change in RMP where it caches the meta data content on the micro-sd card between usage. Since it only maintains one USB cache, switching to a different USB drive should cause...

Re: USB device error, “no compatible media found”

Is the media type set to All?
Do you have a micro-sd card in the device?
Have you tried another USB drive?

There is a bug in the latest RMP whereby it mishandles files with an @ in the filename. Please contact me via pm if you are affected by this.

Re: Roku Media Player Launch Parameters

Presently there are no ECP launch parameters released for external control.
If it is something you want to automatically start playing and your roku has a USB port, you could put that address in a playlist called autostart.m3u in the root directory of the usb drive.

Re: DD audio help before I return my Ultra and leave Roku :(

Hi Jeffrok,
I suspect you meant that Hulu doesn't support any surround(DD or DD+) on Roku devices?
Because RMP will support it, Netflix will, AVOD does.

Re: DD audio help before I return my Ultra and leave Roku :(

That setup is capable of sending DD+ to the AVR. If you are direct connected to the AVR, the correct settings are Auto/Auto for Audio settings on the Roku. Do you have Netflix or Amazon VOD, have you tried them to see if you can get DD+? The Hulu channel on your TV is not the same as the Hulu channe...
