Re: SceneGraph - Bug with BusySpinner and ProgressDialog on FHD setting

The issue is not specifically with the BusySpinner, but rather with rotations in general when using the automatic scaling from FHD to HD.  Any use of rotation using the "fhd" UI resolution gets mangled when scaled down to HD.  The only workaround I've found is to either explicitly define a...

Re: bitmapset.ticklist ? What is it?

Thanks, I've learned a couple things in there! (But not anything about TickList, sadly) Actually, I suspect you did, without realizing it.  TickList is defined as an empty array in this line: set = { ExtraInfo: {}, Backgrounds: {}, Regions: {}, Animations: {}, TickList: [] } but is never populated,...

Well, in my example i want a single horizontal list, so i am using a rowList with 1 row (numRows = 1).
(other List components only scroll vertically)

You can use a MarkupGrid with a "numRows" value set to 1. That will give you a horizontally scrolling list.

Re: Developer community updates!

Has anyone had any luck getting the dropdowns on the new dev portal to work in Google Chrome?  Without those working, the site is pretty much useless in Chrome, which is beyond frustrating.

Re: MarkupList example does not include MarkupList

MarkupGrid uses "horizFocusAnimationStyle" (from ArrayGrid) for controlling scroll behavior on a single row grid.

Try a MarkupGrid with numRows set to 1.  That should scroll horizontally.

Re: Brightscript : Web Accordion effect

You'd need to write your own custom component.  There isn't an existing component that supports this functionality.

Personally, I'd probably use a vertical LayoutGroup, then use an Animation to change the height of a label below each header when selected.

Re: Task Not Running

I read the docs a couple of times and never saw this mentioned in the downloading with task. Maybe its in the debugging area but i think this needs to be there, spent most of the day looking for this answer. Tasks debugging has to be done in port 8090, i was looking as 8089... It's documented here:...

Re: Home Screen Icons blurry, compressed, crappy

squirreltown, I'm curious about the ppi - how could that even possibly affect this?  I would doubt it has any effect on the Roku,  but it's a non-standard resolution, just tidying up. The Roku does do some strange drawing. here's a &hFFFFFFFF rect on a &hFF0000FF background. I just upped th...

Re: Global variables across script and component

Have a huge amount of hours on Google I found this https://github.com/rokudev/podcast-player-channel Why oh why isn't this in the documentation? I have long wondered why this stuff isn't at least posted in the developer forum, let alone the official documentation.  With that said, it's a good idea ...

This would also be pretty easy to accomplish using SceneGraph.  Take a look at the animation documentation.

Re: Developer community updates!

Ack!  "Manage My Channels" now groups both public and private channels together, in no discernible order.  Would it be possible to get those grouped into public and private and/or sorted by date created, like they were before?

Re: LabelList vs roListScreen

Im also having a problem scene graph when using onKeyEvent while scrolling down or up I doesnt seem to catch the down or up button. That's the expected behavior with a focused component that handles the keypresses.  You get the keypress at the top and bottom of the list to give you the opportunity ...

Re: NOT ENTERING FUNCTION

There's nothing in the code you pasted that actually runs the Task.  You need to set the task's control to "RUN" to get it to spin up its thread.

Re: Task Not Running

Your code looks ok.  What makes you think the task isn't running?  Are you connecting to port 8090 in the debugger to see the first task debug console?  That's where "INDSIDE readcontent" should print.
