I judge my performance from mplay, as that really all that matters. And unfortunalty this firmware upgrade did not fix anything as far as streaming MPEG-2 over 18mbps.

I'm running the .8 version, and I enabled iTunes Playlists from the SlimServer and it works fine.

You are just exiting the SlimTray.exe application, which is nothing more than a monitor for the SlimServer service. If you want to stop it, check in the services.
