Well, that explains it.... we were the Australian importer and distributor for Roku's products before being unceremoniously dumped in March 05 (basically they got greedy). Actually I'm thrilled about it now, as we took on Slim Devices shortly after and literally have the Australian and New Zealand m...

Dead CF Card Slot

I have a Rev A PB which has been working fine and I have been doing regular software updates when released. I had not used the CF card slot for some time but now no media files are found (images, music, apps). The GUI sees the card but cannot find any files. It seemed to coincide with the 2.0.28 upd...

To answer your questions, Roku will only be selling the HD1000 from their web store. All dealers will now be stocking and selling the HD1500 (Gallery Collection).

Hope this helps.

rvacha,

What do you mean by "randomly butchering music"? I have run thousands of tracks through my M1000 and never had a single problem.

Ximeta vs Linksys NAS

I completely understand the value in developing a Ximeta driver for the PB, however, how many users actually have (or will go out and buy) a Ximeta network drive? I'm contemplating a Linksys 250gig NAS. Apart from cost, can anyone suggest reasons for or against either solution? Would be interesting ...

I have one of these: http://www.lacie.com/products/product.htm?pid=10174 Fairly quiert especially when you compare it to a normal PC. Just two blue lights on the unit so not distracting either. candrews11, I tried one of these a few weeks back (the 250gig model) but found the video performance from...

Control SB from HD1000??

How's this for an idea..... Quite a few SB owners out there also own a HD1000. What's the chance of implementing control of one or several SBs from the HD1000 UI? If controling the SB is not possible, how about just viewing? For example, using your TV you may be able to add to a queue, see what is p...

Here's something else to try; most wireless routers (I'm not sure about Airport though) have a setting for authentication. Generally, they are set to "Automatic", however you should probably select "open" or "open system" to begin with. The other authentication type is "shared key" - you may also wa...

Alex2004,

First thing you should do is connect your SB to wired network and upgrade to version 2.1.20. This may resolve your wireless issue. Remember to remove the WiFi card when you connect the Ethernet cable.

Hope this is of some help.

I don't personally need it yet, but I can see myself wanting it soon - PoE rvacha, I don't really know the details about PoE, but it's probably unlikely to be supported since the VFD display can draw quite a bit of current. The M1000 needs 9 volts at 1.3 amps and the M2000 needs 24 volts at 0.75 am...

Gene, I assume, unless anyone says otherwise, that since the ethernet is 10/100Mbps, then that indicates a maximum that exceeds the 'g' capacity. Now that you mention it, Lex, the SoundBridge only supports 10Mbps wired Ethernet, not 10/100. Wireless shouldn't be an issue however, since RokuMike has...

Thanks for the suggestions guys - still no luck however.

I have ordered a 2100AP - we'll see how that goes.

I'll post my results soon when I get around to it (rather busy at present).
